I acquired this beautiful, picturesque relief in 1992. Based on my research, I am convinced that it was definitely a handcraft that was created before the year 1800. So my relief is not a galvanized copy of a painting from the 19th century but an original. I present the facts on the following pages.

It is the depiction of the entry of Henry IV into Paris in 1594. I deal with the details of the depiction under the point “History”.
I have contacted countless corpses and carried out various technical examinations on my relief. I summarize the most important results under "Technical Details". The motiv of the relief was often copied in the 19th century. There are various paintings, engravings, cast iron, galvanized plates and other galvanic copies. I will go into this abundance of almost identical representations in detail under "Different variants" and "Differences".
A year ago I found a galvanic copy of my relief on the Internet and bought it for comparison purposes. Now I could immediately compare my original scanned relief with a galvanized copy. Under the point "Comparison with galvanoplast" I have shown differences that can be seen with the naked eye or with my photomicroscope. Which artists have created this work can only be determined by the establish comparison with known works. My thoughts are presented in the "Style-critical view" section.
